Pee Wee the Magician wrapped up the evening with a family-friendly magic show for the huge crowd of kids that showed up. On hand to offer her congratulations was BCCLS Interim Executive Director Cindy Czesak, along with numerous local and regional officials, including Assemblyman Pedro Mejia, Assemblywoman Angelica Jimenez, Hudson County Sheriff Frank Schillari, the entire Guttenberg Town Council, and former Mayor Gerald Drasheff. The mall was jammed with visitors for the opening ceremony. Guttenberg residents can take out any book or item from North Bergen, or from any of the other 75+ libraries participating in the BCCLS program. 
The new facility will host events and programs paralleling those held at the two library locations in North Bergen. Mayor Wayne Zitt, joined by North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco and Head Librarian Sai Rao, cut the ribbon opening the Guttenberg Resource Center inside the Galaxy Towers on July 31, making it the first time a library in New Jersey opened a branch in another municipality.
